Canadian Thanksgiving
Hello again. Well we just had our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and it was very enjoyable. First of all the extra day on the weekend is always welcome, but added to that the holiday itself is one that I particularly appreciate. It is the one celebration that is simply about bringing people (and families) together without any additional pressure to buy things and make it a commercial venture (of course, the Turkeys might feel a little differently about it!) Like always, the food at our table was wonderful and we had some really good people come over and share the evening with us. I highly recommend this event of simply giving thanks for all our bounty and good fortune to live in these interesting times. I have also added a few pictures of a walk we went on over the weekend in the immediate neighbourhood. We have had a glorious fall here this year with endless blue skies and nice warm temperatures. In fact, it is just beginning to feel more winter-like in the last few nights as it gets darker earlier and as the nights get more crisp.
The turkey that never escaped! Apologies to all those gentle vegetarians out there!
