Pippin is Nine

Our lovely Pippin turned nine on October 3rd. Proud, bashful, sweet and ever so keen to embark on the next year -- she continues to be full of spunk.

The build up to the big day was huge! She filled the time with detailed plans on how she was going to decorate the house, what kinds of treats we would eat, who would be there and of course what fun would be had by all. The planning was great because it turned out to be an excellent birthday. This gal knows how to have a good time.

One big job we had was to secretly sneak in the BIG present we got for Pippin into the house. She has become increasingly passionate about her piano playing and we needed to get her a more serious instrument than the small keyboard she has been learning on. So after some long searches we found a great 88 key Yamaha (weighted) that will see her well into the future. Thanks to John and Bay's financial contribution we could afford this extravagant and creative gift. Pippin spends many an hour a week working out her tunes on the keyboard so this gift is perfect. Nothing like feeding into the passion of music!
